Inspired by a thread on the LP Thorn Tree, I would like to start a thread specifically for SEA - what panniers do you have, what do you recommend for toruing in SEA? For my ha'pennies worth, I think the stuff produced by Ortlieb is the best, mostly a bit pricier than other panniers but definitely the best. During the rainy season those Ortliebs do a wonderful job, but they also help you in the dry season with all that dust you find in some places where the roads ain't great.

What do you think?

Hi Simon,
I used the cheaper Merida from Taiwan. And I m not too worried about keeping my stuffs dry, as in Malaysia, the downpours are usually short but heavy, about an hour or so. Its better to take shelter, drink the juice or smoke some ciggie and wait up for the rain to stop. And I usually dont cycle during the north-east monsoon season, as it can rain every day, all day long.
